I am almost finished the Michael Moore book. Anyone out there read it? I would be interested to see if it is just outraging non-Americans or if it is doing the same to those who live in the US...

I find it an interesting book. It has made me realize that I should probably get both sides of a story before getting too upset about anything. While it appears that Mr. Moore is spouting anti-American rhetoric, he also has a lot of information both against and for his arguments. A little information won't hurt anyone as long as it is not too one-sided.

I saw on the news the other night a story about something that we have discussed before in this blog: Boycotting American Goods. There is a Vancouver-based magazine called Adbusters which is advocating the boycott of Made-in-America goods. I know that this topic may be tired but here's the article...just in case you are interested. You can even sign a petition! More amusing, you can read the backlash comments! But, if you agree with the magazine, you might want to take some blood pressure medication! Check it out!

The weather here appears to have taken a turn for the worse. It is Day Two of the "bring sandals to work because for too many days in a row it was way too hot to wear my shoes" and I am sure that it is because of this that the weather is going to be miserable.

Speaking of miserable, I have been more that unhappy with all of the repeats on telly lately. Do the networks think that we won't notice? Why do they do have a whole season of repeat episodes? I had been annoyed with the whole Buffy thing until a new episode last night. Thank goodness the whole series will be over soon! Because it will be ending and because I know that the networks won't change this whole repeat thing, that I am not going to get attached to series anymore. In fact, this is a big turning point. I won't be a tv junkie anymore. If I feel like being a couch potato, I will do so reading a book, writing a letter or whatever. No more series dependency for me. It's not that difficult really... North American programs suck...really. I so miss the intelligence of many of the programs in the UK.

PS. Does anyone know what appears to have happened to cubicle dweller?

Late addition! To celebrate the Astro Boy anniversary, Triumph Japan (here is a press release in Japanese) has created a new bra. Check out this article from Anime Tourist. (There is even a link to a fashion show!)
